Airport
Most airports have some types of lighting for night operations. The type and diversity of the lighting system depend on the capacity and complexity of the airport. Airport lights are visual aids for night and complex weather approach and landing and are important aids for radio approach and landing system. It has developed from simply providing visual indication and guidance signal for the aircraft's approach and landing at night to combining with the radio approach and landing system to ensure the aircraft's approach and landing under the condition of low visibility day and night.
The characteristics of an airport lighting systems are composed of four main factors: configuration, color, light intensity and effective range. Configuration refers to the position of each part of the system and the distance between lights. Color refers to indicating different lighting systems in the airport to transmit instructions or information and increase visibility. Light intensity is determined by the illuminance generated by light in the eyes of the viewer. If the light signal is too weak, the driver will not see it. If the light signal is too strong, the driver will feel dazzled. So intensity of the light should be consistent with the surrounding area. The effective range refers to various lighting systems of the airport. Due to different functions and guidance modes, different operating distances and lighting angles are required. Different airports should have certain differences in the lighting configuration due to the different levels of airports, the number of flights, the quality of meteorological conditions, the differences in the environment and the supporting conditions of navigation facilities.
How to save investment and ensure flight safety, coordinate with many factors of the airport, is a project that we have been studying all the time. The group at EPC are utmost professionals and you will enjoy working with us.
